  In this segment, we produce a variety of processed marine products, from primary processed products such as fish fillets and slices to final products such as grilled fish, simmered fish, and fried fish. We use many different kinds of materials to produce our products including horse mackerel and mackerel from Northern Europe, Spanish mackerel from South Korea, colin from South America, Pacific cod from North America, and salmon and saury from Japan. We purchase the materials through proprietary channels and process them in our affiliate factory in China (Yantai).

  In this segment, we offer seafood materials from around the world. In particular, we are one of Japan's largest importers of mackerel, horse mackerel, and capelin roe from Northern Europe, squid from South America, and fish roes and shellfish. In recent years, our focus has been on the intermediate trade of salmon and trout mainly to China and the export of mackerel and saury from Japan to the Middle East, Africa and Russia. We have been steadily increasing the volume of sales and, in turn, the market share in these areas.

  In this segment, we import a variety of shrimps and processed shrimp products from countries around the world such as Southeast Asia, India, Africa, and Central and South America. In particular, we have the largest market share for shrimps from the Philippines. We have a joint venture company for breaded shrimps in Indonesia. As increasing the world demand for shrimps, we will also focus our attention on intermediate trade.

  In this segment, we import surimi (fish paste) from Southeast and South Asian countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and India, and sell them to major marine product companies and manufacturers of fish paste products. The final surimi products are brought to your kitchen tables as steamed fish paste, imitation crab, and ingredients for simmered hot pot. We have also been focusing on the intermediate trade and export of surimi in recent years as the demand for surimi is increasing outside of Japan, and it is showing excellent results.
